About 25% of Seattle is currently without sidewalks.  Most of those areas are in the outer reaches of the city to the north and south that were added to the city in the 50s.  Greenwood has about 100 blocks, 400 face blocks, without sidewalks.  The Bi/Ped Safety Coalition supports Greenwood Sidewalks, a grassroots neighborhood group working to take a very comprehensive look at getting sidewalks in Greenwood.  Please click on Greenwood to see the draft letter of intent that Greenwood Sidewalks is working on in order to apply for large project matching funds from DON for their project.  The deadline for the LOI (letter of intent) is February 4th.  Please send any input you have to Liz Sullivan, elizabethasullivan@comcast.net.
